Behavioral and mental health challenges can escalate quickly, and in those moments, knowing where to turn can make all the difference. At Sante in Mecklenburg County, our Mobile Crisis Team provides experienced, compassionate intervention to help individuals and families stay safe and supported, right where they are.
Our services are designed as a hospital and jail diversion program, keeping people out of institutional settings whenever possible. We partner closely with community agencies to offer responsive, person-centered care that focuses on long-term health and recovery—not just the immediate crisis.
What We Do
Our Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) is available 24/7/365 to respond to a wide range of crises, including:
- Mental health emergencies
- Substance use crises
- Situational and emotional distress
- Critical incident stress and trauma debriefing
Our team includes licensed clinicians, clinical social workers, and professional counselors extensively trained in de-escalation and crisis intervention. When dispatched, we assess the situation, create a personalized crisis plan, and connect individuals to community resources to stabilize and recover.
Our services are free, available anytime, and bilingual counselors are on staff.
